It’s hard to believe, but today marks the 10th anniversary of Sweet Olive Soap Works!
In the early days, I operated entirely out of the tiny back room of my home which has since been converted into a closet that barely fits my costume collection.
How on earth did the girl in this photo get to where she is today? A hell of a lot of hard work and loyal customers. Thanks to everyone who has helped me get this far!

Sweet Olive Soap Works was created out of my intense desire to promote the healthier aspects of the region and culture that I love. My Grandma Anna Mae had been a soapmaker, owned her own business and dedicated countless summer afternoons to sharing her skills with me. I had a feeling that I could do it too.
I had spent nearly two decades experimenting with her recipes and invented many more of my own along the way, sourcing fresh, local ingredients. I became convinced that continuing the family tradition was my calling and in the fall of 2007 the Soap Works was born.
Over the years, I’ve expanded my creations to include more than just handmade cold process soap. Today you’ll find me making luscious moisturizing body creams, bath bombs, Dead Sea bath salts, scrubbing body polish, and even New Orleans inspired lip balms!
